Pupils at Park House raised a spectacular QAR 55,000 for two Qatar charities at their recent Pink & Blue Day events.

More than QAR 55,000 has been raised by Park House students for two Qatar charities at their annual Pink and Blue Day events. The Qatar Cancer Society –received a cheque for QR 30,575. Every year, Park House raises funds for cancer research and awareness by having a bake sale and everyone wearing pink for a day. This year was no different with tremendous support exhibited by the whole Park House community.

Park House also presented a cheque for QR 24,995 to the Qatar Diabetes Association الجمعية القطرية للسكري. We are passionate about supporting International Diabetes Day (Blue Day). The students took part in a variety of tasks to raise money towards this cause – anything from blue stationery to blue hair and much more was on sale.

We are proud to have tremendously supportive parents that donated healthy lunchboxes for the Parent School Association to sell. Thanks to the overwhelming support by all, we were able to raise a record-breaking amount for both charities this year.

John Smith, the Principal, said: “Giving our students a sense of responsibility to the wider community through charitable activities is an important part of the educational ethos of Park House. I am very proud of the energy and enthusiasm displayed by pupils and the Parent School Association both in taking part in the activities and in raising such a large amount of money for their chosen good causes.”

Well done to all those involved!
