School Re-opening Plans
I hope you have all had an enjoyable summer break. We are all looking forward to welcoming you back to school for the partial resumption of face-to-face learning in September. As a school, we are busy planning and putting all the precautionary measures in place to make sure we welcome our community back to a school that is as safe and secure as possible.
Our preparations have been as thorough as possible, and a significant amount of time has been spent getting our campus ready. All members of staff have recently been through COVID-19 testing as coordinated by the Ministry of Public Health. We are all keen to welcome you back in person at the appropriate time.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our families for their support during the latter half of the last academic year. Our community pulled together in a remarkable way to ensure learning continued under some very difficult circumstances. Their loyalty to the school is what makes Park House a very special place.
As we develop our plans for re-opening, we are looking at best practice models from across the world and using the experience of other ISP schools who have already re-opened. Together with the guidance from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), we are looking to put as many preventative measures in as possible.
We aim to welcome students back into school from Tuesday 1st September for a phased induction and then from Sunday 6th September for the resumption of learning.
At this stage, we will adopt a blended learning approach and most students will attend school for one day out of every three. We will ensure their progress continues when they are learning at home. Our Year 11 and Year 13 students will be in every other day.
We hope you find our Welcome Pack useful in understanding how we intend to open. It is not exhaustive, so will be followed up with other letters and emails. We also hope it lets you know some of the crucial health and safety measures we are putting in place.
We are all looking forward to welcoming our students back onto campus to resume our vibrant and dynamic learning environment. We will seek feedback on an ongoing basis and will review our plans on a regular basis to ensure learning is engaging and effective. Once again, we are appreciative of your support.
