This year, four of our secondary school students represented Doha Athletics Club at the world-renowned Diamond League Athletics Competition.
In the elimination round, Marley, Isabel, and Ripley’s 4 x 100m relay team came first out of 20 girls’ teams in the 14 -16 years age category. With their teammate, Emily, from another school, they went on to win the final, displaying outstanding team performance.
Marley also won the girls’ 100m race with a time of 12.35s, breaking not only the under 15 Club record but also the Club’s under 18 record. Ripley achieved 3rd place in the race. Year 7 student, Alexandra, won her 100m heat, breaking the Doha Athletic Club’s under 13 record with a time of 13.66s.
