BRITISH CURRICULUM

At Park House English School, we are passionate about learning and are driven by our quest to ensure that students take responsibility for their own futures by becoming successful, creative and happy lifelong learners.

At Park House English School, we believe learning is maximised when children understand why they are learning a skill or concept, and how this can be applied in the real world.

In the Early Years, we follow the topics of the carefully structured and varied International Primary Curriculum program based on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We nurture a child-centred approach to learning, where children are encouraged to develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills; skills that they will rely on for the rest of their lives.

In the Primary School, English and Mathematics are taught with the guidance of the National Curriculum of England. To ensure breadth we incorporate the International Primary Curriculum; a thematic, cross-curricular, inquiry-based approach to learning with the eight personal goals underpinning all that we aim to achieve in school.

In the Secondary School we also follow the National Curriculum of England in Key Stage 3, thus preparing our pupils well for the choices they will make at (I)GCSE and A-Level. Our approach helps our pupils achieve exceptional academic results. Extra-curricular activities extend the opportunities for students even further.

We believe that nurturing reflective learners and actively encouraging leadership ensures that students can develop, progress, and have the resilience to compete at the highest levels in all areas of life.

The ethos of our school is central to developing and maintaining high standards of academic achievement and also in nurturing positive, respectful and responsible future citizens. Both staff and students are proud of the community spirit, mutual support and respect that is reflected in the great relationships between all.
