What is IPC?
IPC is the International Primary Curriculum, it is a different way of delivering certain areas of the National Curriculum. Stimulating topics or units lasting for several weeks integrate Geography, History, Art and Design Technology. Many units also incorporate learning targets in other curriculum areas, such as Science, ICT, Music and P.E., but do not replace the existing programmes in those subjects.
With IPC, children focus on one topic for a period of days rather than changing from subject to subject each day.

Describe your school's approach to education and teaching?
When selecting teachers, we ensure they have the ability to make learning relevant and engaging so that children love coming to school. We empower our teachers to choose the best methods to motivate the children while encouraging them to be creative and reliant learners.
Amazing Learning is our core purpose. We nurture the best learning environment for your child, so that your child feels safe, valued and happy, to ensure they make as much progress as possible.
Our core belief is ‘Pride, Hardworking, Enthusiasm and Success’, with meaningful enquiry-based learning at the fore, with our innovative British curriculum Through all of this, we will do everything we can to make children love coming to our school and not wanting to leave at the end of the day.
Special Educational Needs
We are unable to offer admission to children who are considered to have learning/behavioural difficulties as the school is unable to offer appropriate levels of support. It is important that full disclosure is made during the application process.
How does your school ensure children engage in physical activity?
Park House has a long sporting heritage and continues to provide sporting opportunities for students. We encourage pupils to develop a sound, all-around understanding of the basics, the tactics and the etiquette of the sport. They develop proficiency in a range of traditional school sports, but they are also introduced to others, developing their skills and confidence to try new things. We want them to have a broad base of experience from which they can specialise if they choose, but not to pressurise them into specialising too early.
We hope that they will discover a range of sports they enjoy and which they might continue to play on into adult life. Our goal is to promote healthy, active living. Fixtures are arranged with other schools in the greater Doha area.
After School Clubs are available seasonally through the year in various sports, such as football, swimming, basketball and netball
How do you promote healthy eating?
We actively promote healthy eating at school as we know that when children eat nutritionally rich food, they have more energy and will approach their studies with more enthusiasm. We have sourced the services of Kids Kanteen, a healthy food service provider operated by ‘IFS Qatar’ to supply packed lunches for your children and deliver them to their classrooms.
Kids Kanteen chefs are masters at designing menus that appeal to a variety of tastes. Orders must be received the previous Wednesday. Please email info@parkhouseschool.com if you would like to see a sample menu.
What is your absence policy?
If it is known in advance that a student will be absent it is important that the school be informed by email or telephone. In the case of illness, a medical certificate is required for an absence of more than 3 days’ duration.
